BAF Insurance (Cayman) Company Ltd. appoints Sales Manager
Georgetown, Grand Cayman. February 10, 2011 - As BAF continues its forward movement to become a major force in Cayman’s insurance and financial services industry, the company has appointed Mr. Michael Francis as Sales Manager. In this capacity, Mr. Francis will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing the company’s sales team and for driving the sales efforts of the company.
Mr. Francis joined the BAF Global Group in 2005 as a sales representative at BAF Financial & Insurance (Bahamas) Limited, the largest and oldest member of the group of companies. He brought to the company years of financial and insurance experience garnered while employed to other financial services companies including Royal Bank of Canada, Workers Bank Limited and Global Life Assurance (Bahamas) Ltd.
At BAF Financial & Insurance (Bahamas) Limited he was given the opportunity to spread his wings and he quickly proved himself as an adept salesman. Within three years, he moved up the ranks to Family Island Manager with responsibility for managing and developing sales representatives located on six of the larger Bahamian islands. Michael’s job provided an excellent position from which to hone his skills as he traveled constantly and held meetings with people from all walks of life.
Mr. Francis is the recipient of numerous company awards including Rookie Agent of the Year and Manager’s Choice Award in 2006, Leader’s Club Awards in 2007 and Top Executive Agent during the company’s 2008 March Madness sales competition. He is a certified Insurance and Financial Services professional having successfully completed several training courses including certification for LIMRA International Agency Management Training.
In making the announcement, BAF Chairman, Harvey Stephenson said, “Mr. Francis’ transfer is a demonstration of BAF Global Group’s commitment to the Cayman Islands and the type of opportunities that are being created for employment as Michael will soon begin recruiting additional sales personnel to join his team.” As sales manager, Michael plans to introduce new and innovative incentives for his sales team and to work with his team to ensure an enhanced customer experience for their clients.
